Guide to making a payment using internet banking (NZ)
29 August, 2025
This guide will walk you through contributing to your SBS Wealth account step by step.
The services covered by this guide include your:
KiwiSaver account
Investment Fund account
Portfolio Services account
What you'll need
Your internet banking login (for your NZ bank account)
Your SBS Wealth member number (starts with KS or FA) or your CNZ/SRAM number
Your Inland Revenue number
Step-by-step instructions
1. Log in to your online banking
Visit your bank's official website and enter your username and password.
2. Select 'Make a payment'
Choose the option to pay a registered or authorised payee
3. Search for SBS Wealth (for KiwiSaver and Investment Funds)
SBS Wealth is already set up as a registered payee with all NZ banks. This is instead of the confirmation of payee service.
Making a payment to your KiwiSaver account
Search for "SBS WealthKiwiSaver Scheme" in the registered payees list. If your internet banking displays a bank account number, it should match 02-0500-0658976-20.
Making a payment to your Investment Funds account
Search for "SBS Wealth Investment Funds" in the registered payees list. If your internet banking displays a bank account number, it should match 02-0500-0423317-000.
Making a payment to your Portfolio Services account
Please use the unique virtual bank account that was provided for your investment in your welcome letter. You can also find your unique bank account on Consilium Wrap under Cash & Payment > Deposits screen by clicking on Banking Details.
4. For KiwiSaver and Investment Funds, enter your personal details
Fill in the payment reference fields as follows:
Particulars:
Your full name
Code:
Your Inland Revenue number
Reference:
Your SBS Wealth member number (starts with KS or FA)
4. For Portfolio Service
Please ensure the Payee name is the same as in your welcome letter to avoid bank warning alerts. We recommend saving this as a payee for convinience.
Payee name:
Your unique payee name
Bank account:
Your unique bank account
Wrap account:
Your unique portfolio account number (starts with CNZ or SRAM)
5. Enter the amount
Type in the amount you wish to contribute.
If it's a large amount, check your daily payment limit - you may need to increase it temporarily. You may be able to amend this in your internet banking, or with a quick call to your bank.
6. Review and confirm
Double-check all the details. Click "Confirm" or "Submit" to complete the payment.
Safety tips
Only use official bank websites - never click on suspicious links
Don't share your banking password with anyone.
Log out of your internet banking when you're finished
